Astria is a 1 year old rescued Husky Border Collie mix. Her name is greek, meaning “innocence & purity”. It’s pronounced “Uh-Stry-uh”!
Thank you for supporting Astria in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid PAWS in their mission to help cats, dogs, and wild animals thrive in happy, healthy homes or in their natural habitats.
What is America's Favorite Pet?
Learn MoreAstria loves bully collagen bones, dried sweet potatoes, and peanut butter. She loves ripping up her soft toys to get to the squeaker so I get her soft toys with another toy inside!
I love how sweet and patient she is. She was raised with lots of cats and kittens that we fostered, and learned to be kind to all animals. She once found a baby possum in our yard, and barked and barked for me to come help it! She is always worried when she hears babies or animals crying. She escaped from her bad home and found a person who was actively trying to remove her and her litter from said home on the streets as an 8 week old puppy! She saved her litter💗
Astria is an emotional support animal in training, who will be visiting preschools to teach kids how to treat dogs and service dogs. She will also visit nursing homes, and hopefully hospitals as a therapy dog in the near future. She has a bright future ahead of her of helping people 💕
