Buddy LOVES his “Nancy”, a large blue octopus, and his “wambie” an oversized Christmas lamb chop. If you’re eating a banana near Buddy you definitely need to pay the banana tax, same goes for peanut butter!
How impossible it is to pick a favorite thing about a dog as loving as Buddy. He is the kindest, gentlest, goofiest, selfless boy. If I had to choose, it is Buddy’s ability to spread joy wherever he goes. It sometimes feels like his compassion and joy is contagious!
Buddy is a light in what is sometimes a very dark world. He works full time as a hospital service dog, helping motivate patients, often children!, to meet care goals and ease hospitalization. Despite having some chronic medical concerns of his own, Buddy shows up day after day with a passion to make the hospital environment a little brighter. If voted Americas Favorite, Buddy could use funds to support other future service dogs, as well as give back to vets who provide life saving care.
