Buddy was a stud dog for the Guide Dog Foundation in Smithtown. Raised in a prison program, he created 10 litters for the seeing impaired.
Thank you for supporting BUDDY this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid PAWS in their mission to help cats, dogs, and wild animals thrive in happy, healthy homes or in their natural habitats.

Buddy was more human, than dog. Very obedient and passive. A 105 pound, trained not to bark (occasional squirrel 🐿️ alert) .. His over 100 pups, inclusive of great grand pups, contribute to provide service to many blind, seeing impaired, military and first responders (service). He was a big dog, and all of his bigness was HEART ❤️ 🐾
Buddy passes away on November 30, 2024,, from an unknown infection. He spent the last 2 days and a half at the veterinary hospital, was administered steroids and other medication, but decided to bid our family goodbye. We had Buddy for 9 years (his 1st, he was raised in a prison program). We opted to be his foster parents, for the Guide Dog Foundation/ Vet Dogs program. He was a stud dog who mated for the benefit of the blind and seeing impaired, He will be missed. He lives on through his pups
