She is a Russian Blue who I adopted from a shelter as a kitten and found out after that she was scheduled to be put down the next day.

What is America's Favorite Pet?
Learn MoreShe loves a big furry orange carrot filled with cat nip. Her favorite treats are Greenies.
I LOVE her personality!! I think she knows I rescued her from certain death and she is VERY loving and affectionate and vocal. Every morning she accompanies me out of the bedroom into the kitchen, like a procession, she proceeds me and we all bow down to her. She doesn't know what we're doing but loved the attention, plus it's a hilarious way to start the day, every day.
Chanel should be America's Favorite Cat because she's not like a cat. She understands EVERYTHING. She had a rough beginning, but after I nursed her back to health, on my shoulder, reading her books and telling her stories after giving her medicine, she was very thankful. To this day, 10 years later, if she gets scared or nervous, she flies to my shoulder for comfort. She isn't as tiny as the sick little kitten who used to love sitting on my shoulder, listening to stories.
