Receive Text UpdatesHis favorite toy is the deer head that is perched far above everyone's head. He loves watching everything that is going on, and I suspect, that he feels like his wild ancestors and he is guarding his family from his high perch. If we want him to come down, we open up a pack of Delectable's. His favorite treat.
His loving and sociable nature.
Because he exist. Feral cats do not have a long lifespan and it's a miracle that his pregnant mother survived the dangerous environment that she was surviving in. Alligators and snakes were her predators. So were humans. She lived at a boat launch beside the marsh. Another factor that Darcey had going against him was his color. Black cats are the least adopted color and they have the highest euthanasia rate in shelters. This contest let's others see how special they truly are..
