ISABEL

Isabel is an old soul but playful and young at heart. You would think she is a dog with how she greets anyone at the door with excitement.

What's your cat’s favorite toy and/or go-to treat?

Her favorite toy is a refillable catnip mouse toy that she lays with and carries around. She also loves feathers, especially this wand that has feathers on the end of it that when you shake it, she goes berserk for it. However, she will simply play with random objects that strike her interest that isn’t a cat toy lol. For example, this time of the year she loves to play inside and around the Christmas tree or smack Christmas directions that are being displayed.

What is your favorite thing about your cat?

My favorite thing about Isabel is she sleeps with me every night. She sits and waits for me at the end of my bed when I am in the bathroom. She sits, stares, and waits patiently for me to come back. Once I open the door she meows like crazy for me like she has been waiting a lifetime for me to get out when it has been 2 minutes. She is also my alarm clock in the morning pawing my face to wake me up. In addition, I love how she is not shy towards anyone and always wants to make new friends.

Why should your cat be America’s Favorite?

I have had Isabel since I was in middle school when she was adopted from the ASPCA as a kitten. I am now in my 20s so she has been a sibling to me. She lived a spoiled and healthy life. However, she is an old girl now with kidney issues. Winning this contest would greatly help with vet costs. I want her legacy and memories to live on for all. It would mean the world to me for her to win America’s Favorite so that I can be happy knowing I was able to show one more big act of love for my Isabel.
