LUNA LEI (MOON FLOWER)

Luna is just one of my many rescues. She is a sweet & funny young girl that someone threw away. She has learned to play frisby & loves it.

What's your dog’s favorite toy and/or go-to treat?

Believe it or not an Old rag her and Cora Mae play tug of war with whatever old scrap material I cut up for them. I love to get the them one of those heavy duty looped ropes so they can play tug of war with but money's tight when you retired.

What is your favorite thing about your dog?

She's very affectionate. She'll wrap her legs around mine like she's afraid I'm going to leave her. She'll come to me when she needs to go out or want some love my other big dog, Cora May (a German Lab) gets a bit jealous but they are inseparable now. They play and wrestle and kiss each other like sisters.

Why should your dog be America’s Favorite?

Because all my pets are rescues and here in Florida we have excellent programs for strays and abandoned pets. It give me pleasure & purpose take care of them but since my Husband & Son passed away, I look at these pets as them rescuing me, not me rescuing them. And to help educate people that pit bulls are trainable and just like any other dog. Many dont take the time or compassion to retrain them to remove the meanness that horrible people who abuse them can cause.
