When I found Mr. Pickles ("Pickles"/ “Picky” for short) on Pet Finder, the shelter’s post described him as the “whole enchilada”. It fits.

Learn MorePicky is a dairy fiend! I can't take a carton of milk out of the refrigerator without hearing his loudest, most aggressive meow. If I ever have a bowl of ice cream, this boy will do absolutely anything to get to it. If I have the bowl in both hands, he sticks his paw into the bowl and physically, with all his strength and pulls it towards himself. He also loves sink water. It's the only water he'll drink. He puts his body in the sink and doesn't care that his head gets sopping wet.
Mr. Pickles = Mr. Confidence. He thinks he owns every room he walks into. I fell in love with him because when he came over to my apartment for the first time he didn't run and hide. Instead he walked around confidently, inspecting his new abode and then flopped over and showed me his belly. He is like this wherever I take him, except at the vet's office. Picky has turned members of my family, who disliked cats into cat lovers; everyone loves his white paws, round body, and winning personality!
Picky's story is that of the underdog (or cat, sorry!). Prior to living with me, Picky had been in at least two other homes at no fault of his own. He was a senior cat who just needed some extra love from someone who would be with him to the end. He has overcome a lot -- abandonment, a severe stomach illness, and a slightly deformed ear. We have made each other's lives better in a million ways, which is the real beauty of pet rescue and adoption.
