Toby has LOTS of toys ..some are small mice we call "baby mice" -- they are striped & he loves to fetch them. If you throw one far down a hallway -he runs at full speed, brings it back to you to do it again & again 'til he's exhausted. His favorite treat is bacon - he can smell it cooking & he knows to wait until it is cooled before eating. He only gets 1 slice a week though! He also loves his "treat bar" toy with many rolling sliders that cover up treats - he can run the table in 2 min flat!
The best thing about Toby is that he is very lovable and he craves affection ..he does headbutts and climbs up on your lap to be petted and loved - he sleeps on a pillow between me and my husband. He is pretty good when company comes too, introducing himself to everyone for pats on the head. He is also incredibly smart with a sleek coat that is like silk! Toby has decided to put any winnings to displaced animals in the LA area and animal shelters in Tucson too - he's that caring!
Toby's a mutt but a beautiful one and very typical of a rescue cat in not being pure bred - part Norwegian forest cat, part bengal, part who knows what - and typifies why we love cats - very independent, loves people, and my other cats too. When my other 2 rescues were babies, he played with them in a way that was gentle to help them get acclimated and still protects them. So he is not only the quintessential Alpha-cat protector but an all American classic feline pet.
