What's your dog’s favorite toy and/or go-to treat?

Wrigley isn’t a big fan of toys since he enjoys spending most of his time outdoors protecting the animals, especially his special needs duck friends, from coyotes and mountain lions. One of his favorite treats is a tortilla filled with peanut butter!

What is your favorite thing about your dog?

Wrigley has gone through so much adversity yet is still incredibly gentle, loving, and resilient. We rescued him with Lyme Disease, Heartworm, a torn ACL and a double ear infection so bad he had lost hearing in one ear. After having a bad reaction to the metal hardware implanted during ACL surgery, his bone shattered and his leg had to be amputated. He has made an incredible recovery physically and mentally and still adores protecting his animal friends. He is a gentle giant.

Why should your dog be America’s Favorite?

We believe Wrigley is a wonderful representation of all of the deserving dogs who are waiting to be rescued in America. He is the hardest worker, the most selfless protector, and the most lovable goofball. He has also been there for his human in the darkest of times and is the true epitome of loyal friend.
