When we rescued Bella she was malnourished so in the beginning she would eat as if she would never be fed again. Now she has found us and knows she will have whatever she needs she loves her dog cookies and homemade treats. Her favorite toy is her pink pig she always has in her mouth.
Bella is extremely loving considering how mistreated she was. When we first met Bella at the pound (9 months ago) she ran down the shelter hall toward me. I was nervous at first considering someone just threw her out of a car so I bent down cautiously and she put her arms around me and kissed me. I looked at the shelter and said I want her and the shelter said it was meant to be. Unique is how loving, gentle and trusting she is from the moment we met considering what she has been through.
Bella has gone from being an abused dog to loving life. We have 2 other Shitzus who love and protect her. She has found her forever home. She is loved so much and the love she gives back is incredible. To have her as America’s favorite dog would be an honor. She deserves to have everything special in her life considering everything what she has been thru.
