What's your dog’s favorite toy and/or go-to treat?

Benny’s go-to toy is a simple ball! He’s always up for a game of fetch, which quickly turns into what we call “keep away.” His favorite move? Purposely wedging the ball under the couch and proudly waiting for us to rescue it, tail wagging the entire time.

What is your dog's most unique quality?

Benny’s love for people is impossible to miss, especially because of his “propeller” tail. The moment he sees a human, his whole body lights up and his tail spins nonstop, like it might lift him right off the ground. It’s his signature move and his way of making sure everyone feels instantly welcomed and loved.

Why should your dog be America’s Favorite?

Benny should be featured because his story is one of survival, love, and the power of rescue. He & his siblings were dumped at a campground in Mississippi just before a hurricane caused severe flooding. Without rescue, he may not have survived. Today, it’s hard to imagine how anyone could abandon such a loving, friendly, intelligent boy. He is the best thing that’s ever happened to us, and his journey is a reminder that rescue dogs and the people who save them, deserve to be celebrated everyday.
