BONES

Bones is the boy that changes peoples perception of pit bulls. He’s a true pitty. Loving, lazy, loyal, fun, he’s impossible to resist!

What's your dog’s favorite toy and/or go-to treat?

Bones loves treats—pretty much all of them! But if it’s chicken or peanut butter biscuits, he’s over the moon.

What is your dog's most unique quality?

Bones has so many unique qualities it’s hard to choose just one. If I had to, it would be his ability to bring joy wherever he goes. He makes people smile without even trying, and even those who swear they aren’t dog people are drawn to him. His enthusiasm is contagious, his love is unconditional, and he has a way of reminding us how simple and important love and kindness are.

Why should your dog be America’s Favorite?

Bones is a ball of love and so grateful to be part of our family. When we adopted him, he was scared, thin, and sick with heartworms. Watching him go through treatment was heartbreaking, yet—even while frightened in his new surroundings—he gave us nothing but love. Pit bulls get a bad reputation, but Bones (aka Indiana Bones) breaks every stereotype. He loves big, lives fully, and proves that we make the stereotype—not the breed.
