What's your dog’s favorite toy and/or go-to treat?

The pittie in Bubba likes to destroy his toys, but there is one toy, a rubber pig that pinks when you squeeze it…Bubba treats it like his baby. He tries so hard not to hurt it. It’s his go-to when he needs something in his mouth to regulate all of his excitement and emotions when people visit. If you ask him where his baby is, he will go and get it. He often winds up chewing the ears off, but he never fully destroys it.

What is your dog's most unique quality?

When we rescued him the vet told us he’d be a great therapy dog. We laughed bc he seemed kind of simple minded…or so we thought. He always wants to know where I am & is usually right nearby. When my Mom came to visit he forgot I existed. My Mom has M.S. & Bubba was able to sense her disability. He never left her side while she was here. He would sit on my bed & watch her shower, go out the door with her to sit on the patio, lay at her feet no matter where she was. He is emotionally intelligent!

Why should your dog be America’s Favorite?

He is everything that a dog should be…you can’t help but smile when you look at his crossed eyes or watch his crooked run. He makes everyone laugh and feel joy. He is a walking ball of happiness and love. He is always up for an adventure. He is my best friend and I want everyone else to know and love him, too! He has turned people who used to hate dogs into people who have rescued pit bulls like him. He is a character…one of the greats!
