We rescued Chara through A Second Chance for Ziva. Chara was found abandoned in a home in Oklahoma.

Despite her difficult past, Chara has the most loving and sweet demeanor. She hasn’t met a human she doesn’t want to shower with kisses. She is also a wonderful big sister to Remy, our other rescue dog. She is smart, loyal and brings a smile to everyone she meets.
Chara came to us during a difficult time in my life. I was battling an eating disorder and the Covid pandemic was just beginning. We may have rescued Chara…but in the end, she rescued me. She gave me a reason to fight to get healthy, and later inspired me to become an activist against animal cruelty in my state. Rescues love unconditionally, and Chara is no exception. I really could go on and on about my best friend and how truly special she is!
