Charlie has a lot very special talent: he talks on demand and smiles when he is happy. When he wants something—food or walk—he doesn’t bark… he converses. He lets out these perfectly timed little grumbles and “roo-roo” sounds as if he’s explaining his needs in full sentences. If he gets too enthusiastic, you can calmly tell him to “use your inside voice,” and he’ll immediately lower the volume like a polite little gentleman.
Charlie should be America’s Favorite Dog because he’s not just cute—he has a big personality and an even bigger heart. Adopted after being unwanted and confined to a cage, Charlie rose above it all. He talks on demand, politely lowers his voice when told to use his inside voice, gives high-fives, smiles fully, and turns everyday moments into joy. His best friend is Sassy, a Shih Tzu in kidney failure, and he’s her constant comfort. Charlie is love, resilience, and pure happiness.
