Cheney loves a Ball! Any ball! She will fetch forever but her favorite is a giant purple ball meant for horses. It has a handle and is the size of a basketball. She will take it to a slant and roll it herself if no one is playing with her. Her favorite food treat is freeze dried duck but her absolute favorite treat is to be with babies! Human, animals or livestock. She wants to be their Moma Bear.
Chesney is an emotional support dog. Not by training but by her need to ensure safety and comfort . She came to us from a friend of a friend who lost his way and was couch surfing. He needed to go out of town for work so We Fostered her. She immediately stuck to my son’s side. In his bed, in the car. He had severe anxiety and a neurological disorder. Chesney changed his life! He would get out of bed to play! She would lay and refuse to leave him on bad days. She gave him a reason to be a child.
Chesney did not come to us as a Puppy we Didn’t need another dog. Her ability to secure her place in our family was truly amazing! When her owner returned to take her she laid down and asked not to go. She ran to my heartbroken son and laid down. She knew she had a bigger purpose. Her owner gave her a hug and said you deserve to stay where you are if that’s what you want. She can easily communicate yes and no. She can find the person with the deepest emotions and provide hope and comfort.
