Daisy is a rescue mut (half yellow lab and half husky) who became a sister to two cats and the best running buddy.
Thank you for supporting Daisy in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid PAWS in their mission to help cats, dogs, and wild animals thrive in happy, healthy homes or in their natural habitats.
What is America's Favorite Pet?
Learn MoreWhen we got Daisy when she was 2.5 years old, she didn’t understand toys or play with them and we think she didn’t have access to toys as a puppy. She absolutely loves food though, and has been known to snitch whole pies and homemade loaves of bread off the counter. She loves homemade focaccia bread, huckleberry pies, blocks of cheese, and popcorn.
Daisy is part husky but looks more like a yellow lab. She does, however, have the blue husky eyes and a big husky tail and does howl instead of bark. Daisy never barks but if it is past her 5pm dinner time, you will start to hear howling (or if you put outside shoes on without taking her with you). She also spends an insane amount of her life upside down begging for belly rubs.
Daisy is a great ambassador for rescue dogs who were rescued after growing out of their puppy stage. Rescue dogs, especially those that aren’t puppies, are in need of ambassadors to show what amazing dogs they can turn out to be. Daisy quickly became a loving sister to two cats, the best running buddy (she had run many 5ks and received her own medals), and the best pandemic companion. Daisy’s incredibly friendly demeanor and outstanding behavior would make her the perfect ambassador.
