Dolly treats plushies like a badge of honor and carries them around with her head high and proud :). She will never turn down a game of fetch or any type of food, as she is a true Labrador Retriever who are known for their impressive appetites. However, Dolly treasures friendships more than food and toys, as she greats everyone she knows and doesn't know like the best friend she hasn't seen in years with an enthusiastic tail wag and bright eyes, which say "Thank you for coming to see me!"
Dolly is already proving to be a once-in-a-lifetime dog with a purpose. She is exceptionally intelligent, for example learned sit and lay down at 8 weeks with a command in less than 5 minutes. She has a high drive with and excellent and reliable off switch, going from focused and determined to calm and gentle in an instant. Dolly is patient, kind, and loves belly rubs. With her talent and temperament, Dolly will make a difference in the world.
Dolly’s story isn’t just about what she can do - it’s about what she will do. If she is crowned America’s Favorite Pet, the prize will be used to support her training for search and rescue as well as other philanthropic and community focused efforts. Dolly’s goal is simple: to grow into a dog who helps people, comforts them, and maybe even save lives.
