Dougie was a rescue dog. He came to us after the loss of our family companion. Dougie is very playful and sweet. Loves to cuddle with mom.

Learn MoreDougie absolutely loves playing with squeaky toys. His very first toy was a bark toy that looked like a shrimp. That particular toy were two in one. He loved playing fetch and when he got tired he laid down and chewed on. He played with it so much that the material ripped and was left with just the ball that was inside that squeaks. To this day he gets that squeaky ball and chases it.
The most unique thing about Dougie are his puppy eyes. If he does something that he gets told no, he will sit in his kennel and stare at you with his adorable sad eyes. When we first saw him at the SPCA it was those eyes that melted our heart. He is so sweet, and he is a big baby that likes to jump with excitement.
Dougie’s breed is misunderstood. Pit bulls can be scary but only when provoked. I was hesitant about adopting a pit bull. I got to know him and understand how sweet, loving and caring he is. Dougie is very protective of his mom. He doesn’t like losing sight of me and will literally run around the house sniffing every closed door until he finds me. I don’t know if America would agree that a red nose pit bull would be there favorite pet. All I know is Dougie is my favorite pet and family member.
