Eleanor has a sweet soul and was first trained as a service dog but since she loves to greet everyone, she was re-careered as a therapy dog
Thank you for supporting Eleanor in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid PAWS in their mission to help cats, dogs, and wild animals thrive in happy, healthy homes or in their natural habitats.
What is America's Favorite Pet?
Learn MoreEleanor favorite go-to treat: marrow bones! She will on occasion take a toy from another dog to get a reaction from the other dog, all in fun! The marrow bones are a great way for her to chill out after doing therapy visits and helps with her teeth, gums, over all health!
Witnessing her during her therapy sessions in a group setting ( Senior Adult Day Care ) her love, kindness and the fact she never misses greeting each and every person. I have watched her back track in a circle setting as to not miss anyone. ( inclusionary dog always)
Many dogs are worthy of winning…Eleanor has been involved with service dog/therapy work since she was 8weeks old. When she was young, she worked with Westchester County Schools in NY:special needs & main stream. ( esp. autism) Now approaching 10 yrs old, she continues on a part time basis visiting seniors at Senior Center and Senior Adult Day care center enriching lives in NH.She would be a wonderful advocate demonstrating the love/support animals provide. Thank you for your consideration!
