Rescue husky–pit mix. Her mom was saved from euthanasia in Texas. I drove from WA to meet her—now she’s my blue-eyed shadow.
Thank you for supporting Ellie in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid PAWS in their mission to help cats, dogs, and wild animals thrive in happy, healthy homes or in their natural habitats.
What is America's Favorite Pet?
Learn MoreEllie’s favorite things are her BarkBox toys and peanut butter! Since she’s teething, she loves anything she can safely chew, especially surprise toys that squeak or crunch. Peanut butter is her ultimate treat—she and her big sister Olive are true “peanut butter friends” and never miss a chance to enjoy it together.
Ellie’s most unique quality is her deep blue husky eyes. Almost everyone she meets gets completely lost in them. Paired with her brown husky-pit mix coat and her expressive, vocal personality, she has a way of connecting with people instantly—before she even makes a sound.
Ellie represents hope. Her mom was rescued from euthanasia while pregnant, giving Ellie the chance at life. From a scared little puppy to a joyful, loving sister and best friend, her story shows that every dog deserves a chance. Ellie is proof that rescue dogs don’t just survive—they thrive.
