What's your dog’s favorite toy and/or go-to treat?

Gemma’s favorite toy is definitely a squeaky small ball from chewy. We go to the park close to our town house where the park has a playground and soccer fields. Gemma loves all children and since she was a puppy she knew that she wasn’t supposed to jump up on little babies or for anyone that matters. She is loving to all people and animals. Then we throw the ball and run through the soccer fields picking up trash and dog droppings so no kid falls into while playing soccer.

What is your dog's most unique quality?

Her most unique quality is her heart. See I have dealt with chronic pain for almost 37 years now. Immediately Gemma started sniffing my entire body at night and she would lay down right next to where I was hurting the most. Then she would rap her whole body around my neck and that’s how we sleep at night. She never leaves my side. I so feel her love our hearts beat as one. We were meant to be together.

Why should your dog be America’s Favorite?

A month after I got Gemma she jumped out of little girl’s arms and I was two blocks away and I knew something was wrong so I went home and she had broken her femur and tibia. Her vet tried to save her leg but had to amputate it. God works in mysterious ways because when I was 14 I thought I was going to lose my right arm too. So Gemma bounced back and my pain has never been better. She has been my inspiration. She has brought such joy! We dance everyday!
