What's your cat’s favorite toy and/or go-to treat?

Gus is a little soccer player! Any toy he can kick around is his go-to toy, but his favorite is his small carrot. Guy also loves a good cat tube and uses it to sneak up on unsuspecting travelers and dive-bombing their feet as they walk by.

What is your cat's most unique quality?

Gus’s most unique quality is how often he likes to sit like a human! Rather than curling up or loafing, he will sit side by side with his humans on the couch, mimicking the way we sit. You can see it in some of the photos.

Why should your cat be America’s Favorite?

Gus is what everyone wants in a cat, sweet and loving, but with a streak of independence, and a love for play. This sweet boy survived a dog attack on the streets before being adopted, but hasn’t let that stop him from loving every single creature, person or otherwise, that he meets. He reminds all of us that we can heal and be a ray of light in the lives of those around us. Every single day he is posted in the Daily Gus Photo, reminding people there are things to look forward to.
