Hobie is the kind of dog that loves his people with his whole being. He has comforted me through hard times more than I can count.

Learn MoreHobie's favorite treat is anything remotely edible to be honest. But I think if he had to choose it would be pigs ears. He has a specific spot he likes to take them and once he gets settled he always looks back at me and barks once. Kinda like a thank you.
He won't eat his food until he gets loves. We have learned that if we do not stop and pet him and give him loves, he will stand by his food and bark until someone goes to pet him and tell him he is a good boy. Honestly though, we love doing it so we don't mind!
We used to have another dog. They were brothers. And our other dog was very aggressive and caused Hobie a lot of anxiety. Well, our other dog passed away in May 2025. We miss him, but Hobie has become a completely different dog. Hobie is my hero. He is so resilient to bounce back from the trauma he went through. I should really take a page from his book. He is such a quirky, goofy, good boy, and he deserves all the love in the world!
