Receive Text UpdatesItalia is obsessed with the Outward Hound Hide-a-Squirrel toy, which is fitting because her lifelong dream is to catch a real squirrel one day. Her favorite treat is Milo's Kitchen chicken meatballs - perhaps a nod to her Italian roots. Her litter-mate brother, Enzo, is also a part of our family and was named with her by their dad after Ferraris.
Italia was expected to be 35 lbs. but surprised everyone by staying a petite 22 lbs., complete with a pink nose and impossibly long, model-worthy legs, and has a knack for showing them off in photos. When she runs, she's unbelievably fast - almost greyhound-like - likely inherited from her Ferrari-inspired name. Despite her fast-paced nature, she's the most gentle, cuddly baby who sleeps tucked into one of her pawrent's armpits or with her head on top of ours on our pillow every night.
Italia has a way of winning hearts. She's a world traveler who has been in the cabin on hundreds of flights and is always a crowd favorite of flight attendants and passengers. Strangers and family members alike, even those who aren't "dog people," gravitate to her instantly and jokingly always try to take her home. She's the prettiest, kindest, and most photogenic dog we've ever met, and she spreads joy, comfort, and love everywhere she goes. That's why she deserves to be America's Favorite.
