Kent was born with an overbite and a rare white piebald coat, an uncommon pattern for dachshunds. What once made him “different” could have cost him everything—but instead, it makes him extraordinary. His smile, his markings, and his joyful spirit are a reminder that the things that set us apart are often the things that make us most loved.
Kent is a purebred mini dachshund who was deemed “not fit for sale” due to an overbite and was going to be returned to the breeder with an uncertain fate. We picked him up before that could happen. Today he’s healthy, happy, endlessly silly, and full of love—proof that the dogs who need a chance the most often give it back tenfold.
