Kronk loves anything soft to play with, whether it be a soft toy, or a slipper or sock he steals. His very favorite thing though, is a soft bed. He never had something comfortable to lay until he came to the USA. Because he lived most of his life in the meat trade in East Asia where he was starved most of the time, Kronk loves all treats! So we spoil him as much as we can.
Kronk's disabilities have made him malformed which cause him to walk differently than other dogs. His face is also very different than normally developed malamutes. I would say his unique quality is that despite the horror he's been through, he is always happy. And his happiness is like a superpower, because he makes everyone happy around him.
Kronk's story is a unique one. We rescued him from the Dog Meat Trade in East Asia, where he was beaten so badly that the brain damage he endured caused so many life long disabilities. His existence is a miracle. His story is one of strength, and love. I'm hoping he will inspire more people to adopt forgotten dogs like him. Kronk shows that what once was broken can be whole again. If he wins the $10,000 prize, it will go to our non profit, Run 2 The Rescue to help save more dogs like Kronk.
