Learn MoreLeo’s favorite toys are his collection of sea-animal stuffies. His current obsession is a sea turtle whose legs splay out when you bite it—endlessly entertaining and deeply loved. When it comes to treats, Leo believes all snacks are sacred, but cheese reigns supreme. We share that love, and I always spare a little for him, turning snack time into one more small ritual of joy we enjoy together.
Leo’s most unique quality is his deep inquisitiveness and emotional intelligence. He seems to know how I feel at all times, just as I know him. We communicate with a single look—no words needed. I truly believe he thinks he’s human, moving through the world with awareness, empathy, and a quiet understanding that makes our bond feel less like owner and pet, and more like equals.
Leo should be America’s Favorite because his presence reminds us how simple and kind the world can be. Friends call him the “UN dog” for his ability to bridge differences through pure, unconditional love. Leo doesn’t judge or divide—he welcomes everyone with the same gentle heart. In a complicated world, he teaches us an essential truth: care for one another, share the food, and choose love first.
