Learn MoreLuca has never been offered a treat he wouldn’t eat, but beef liver, quail eggs, and duck jerky are his favorites. Kong balls are life! If Luca doesn’t have one in his mouth or by his side, he runs around frantic to find it. He has at least 50 and each day, he chooses the ball of the day. Once chosen for the day, there isn’t another that is acceptable.
Oh boy! He is truly a quirky ShihTzu. I can’t name just one. I think his ball obsession is his most significant unique quality. His favorite game is putting his ball where it is a huge challenge to get, when he is can’t rescue it, he will bark until I save the ball for him. He will not eat if he cannot circle his plate. It has to be put together so that there is space between each item and the different foods are not touching. If they are, he will refuse to eat.
Because he is such a fun, loving, protective(as protective as a 20 pound dog can be), cute, grumpy boy. He is a natural guard dog and will bark at any car parked that he doesn’t know. To know him, is to love him.
