Lucy doesn’t care much about fancy toys—her favorite “treat” is attention. Belly rubs, cuddles, and being close to her humans make her happiest. She also loves small soft toys and anything that lets her feel included in whatever we’re doing.
Lucy wasn’t originally my dog—she was my husband’s and had lived with him for five years. But after we got married, she chose me. She became my little protector and now reacts to anything she thinks might be a threat—even barking at my husband, her original owner, simply because she’s protecting me. Her loyalty and instinct to guard the person she loves most make her truly special.
Lucy represents what so many people love about their pets: a deep emotional bond, small everyday moments, and quiet joy. She doesn’t do tricks or stunts—she simply makes people smile by being herself. Lucy reminds us that the best pets aren’t perfect or trained for a stage; they’re the ones who feel like family.
