“Hi, I’m Max! I may not hear, but I feel everything. Chosen to be a special friend to a boy with autism, proving love needs no sound.”
Thank you for supporting Max in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid PAWS in their mission to help cats, dogs, and wild animals thrive in happy, healthy homes or in their natural habitats.
What is America's Favorite Pet?
Learn MoreMax’s favorite “toy” is really connection. Because he’s deaf, he loves toys that involve touch and movement, soft plush toys he can carry and textured chew toys he can feel. But his true favorite is anything that brings him close to his boy. Playing, shared routines, and quiet companionship. For treats, Max goes crazy for soft, smelly rewards that let him focus and feel rewarde. Proof that joy is felt, not heard.
Max’s most unique quality is his ability to connect without sound. As a deaf albino dachshund, he experiences the world through touch, sight, and intuition. He senses emotions deeply and responds with calm, loyalty, and presence. Paired with a boy with autism, Max naturally mirrors patience and understanding, forming a bond built on trust, routine, and unconditional love—showing that differences don’t divide us, they create extraordinary connections.
Max should be America’s Favorite because his life is a living reminder that love speaks louder than sound. Deaf and albino, Max found his purpose as a companion to a boy with autism, creating a bond built on trust, comfort, and understanding. Together, they show that our differences don’t make us less, they make us powerful. Max’s story reflects hope, inclusion, and the quiet kind of love that changes lives.
