Honestly, Mona’s favorite toy is me. As soon as I get home Mona will come out of the woodwork somewhere and find me. She enjoys her nightly routine of me coming home from work and snuggling with her head on my leg and wrapping her enormous paws around my leg while my wife and I watch the nightly news and jeopardy. Many times my wife will tell me she fells jealous about how Mona will stare at me while she’s hugging my leg.
Mona’s love and affection know no bounds. When we adopted her, we were told she was returned twice! One hand I’m glad she was returned otherwise she wouldn’t be part of our family. On the other hand, I don’t know why anyone could give her away like that. This may be why she is so affectionate but I think deep down that’s just how Mona is, loving.
I would love for America to see just how loving and special Mona is. Also, her subtle calico markings make her all that more unique and adorable. Mona’s rescue story is the kind of thing America needs and likes to hear. Not if but when America chooses Mona she will be over the moon!
