Nate is never far from his beloved stuffed toy piggy! He also has a squeaky fox that he uses for his favourite game: hide-and-seek. He’s quite clever at finding it no matter where it’s tucked away. When it comes to treats, he is a true connoisseur of Benny Bully’s (dried liver). He’s highly motivated by them, which makes training sessions with him both fun and very productive.
Nate’s most unique quality is his unwavering resilience. Despite being abandoned at a mall with his family, he refused to let it dampen his spirit. He has an incredible 'happy-go-lucky' nature and an intuitive desire to please; you can see him looking for that reassuring pat that says he’s doing a good job. This natural optimism has turned him into a remarkably friendly and eager learner.
Nate embodies the very best of new beginnings. His story started in a place of loss, but he entered the New Year with a heart full of hope and a tail that never stops wagging. He should be favourite because he represents the light at the end of the tunnel for every rescue dog. Nate doesn't dwell on the past; he looks forward to every new day as a fresh start. He’s a scruffy reminder that no matter how a story begins, the future can be bright, warm, and full of love in a safe, new home.
