His Kong keeps getting lost but he favors ropes he destroyed then drags around to us to throw for him.
Niko's old pal Axl, who is now 12, can't always get our attention when he goes to the door, so Niko sits in our faces and bugs us to let Axl out. He steals the happy/sad plushie we keep above the water cooler and tries to eat it. So far I've saved the plushie a dozen or so times.
This dog proves dogs have so much empathy they must distinguish all negative emotions from their pack. Niko comes around to cuddle the anxious or depressed. Anyone who meets him gets to see his tail wag before they leave. I love his effect on my little cousins. Someday he will be an emotional support dog to our autistic son.
