What's your dog’s favorite toy and/or go-to treat?

Oats’ favorite toy isn’t actually a toy at all it’s snow. If snow could be wrapped and sold with a squeaker, he’d be unstoppable. He loves charging through it, burying his nose in it, and tossing it into the air like it might throw itself back. When he’s inside, his go-to toy is anything soft and slightly oversized, especially if it can be carried proudly from room to room. Bonus points if it smells like his people or one of his dog siblings.

What is your dog's most unique quality?

Oats has an uncanny ability to be both deeply adventurous and incredibly gentle at the same time. He’s happiest bounding through snowy fields, running full tilt toward the camera, ears flopping and tail high but seconds later, he’ll lean his whole body against you, quietly asking for closeness. He has expressive, soulful eyes that seem to understand everything you’re feeling, and he brings a calm, grounding presence wherever he goes.

Why should your dog be America’s Favorite?

Oats should be America’s favorite because he represents connection, kindness, and the idea that home isn’t a place it’s the people (and dogs) you love. He was born in Georgia and now lives in Canada, making him a true cross-border good boy with an international heart. No matter where he is, Oats brings people together with his gentle nature, joyful energy, and unmistakable charm. In a world that can feel busy and loud, Oats reminds us to pause, go outside, and find happiness in simple things.
