Even though it took Scrumpus, several months to feel comfortable enough to act like a cat, he loves to play with tiny mice toys. It is so sweet to watch a timid and scared cat of his size to act and play like a kitten - finally - poor kitty. :(
Scrumpus’s unique quality is that you can see the gratitude on his face. He literally crawls on top of me, gets a close and cuddly as he can and then looks at me with happiest face as if he is saying THANK YOU! I believe he was so tired of life on the streets because he doesn’t even sit in the window to look outside, which is very odd for a cat! He just has no desire! The look on his face was I've been out there, it's a big cruel world and life on the "inside" is like kitty heaven!
I feel Scrumpus is a spokes model for “street kitties” again his gratitude is all over his face and the love he shows. He is a great example of I lived a hard life on my own, fighting and trying to survive and now that I've been rescued I am the sweetest boy filled with so much love to give and receive. His winnings would go partly to our local shelter which is private owned, not government funded. Also where is was officially adopted from and his two brothers.
