Shoto lives for wand toys and goes absolutely feral for his favorite handmade kicker toys (the spooky ones) like it’s a full time job. Treat-wise, freeze-dried chicken bits are his true weakness, while Churus are his preferred bribe for cooperation, cuddles, and being adorable.
Shoto’s most unique qualities are his tiny “meeps” and his journey with Pica. He doesn’t meow—he double-meeps (think Super Mario) and occasionally squeaks his way into hearts. His Pica has taught us the importance of pet-proofing, enrichment, and extra care. From a kitty condo to a spaceman helmet, playtime, and medication, we do everything to keep him safe—because we love him beyond words.
Shoto should win America’s Favorite Pet because he represents resilience, joy, and unconditional love. Despite living with Pica, he greets every day with playful energy, gentle meeps, and endless affection. His story helps raise awareness that special-needs pets can live full, happy lives with patience, safety, and love—and that they deserve to be celebrated just as much.
