What's your dog’s favorite toy and/or go-to treat?

Sugar’s favorite “toy” is the window—it’s her squirrel surveillance station. She takes her job very seriously, staring out all day until a squirrel appears, then bursting out the doggie door like a professional hunter on duty. She’s already caught two squirrels this year and clearly believes she deserves a reward afterward. Any treat tastes better when it’s earned after a long day of protecting the yard.

What is your dog's most unique quality?

Sugar’s most unique quality is her big, bold personality. She talks back to her momma, argues her point, and makes sure her opinions are heard—something that only adds to her charm. She’s incredibly expressive, endlessly funny, and full of love. Whether she’s howling when her daddy leaves the house (her favorite person) or cuddling with her brother and sister, Sugar wears her heart on her sleeve.

Why should your dog be America’s Favorite?

Sugar should be America’s Favorite because she represents everything that makes dogs so special. She’s loving, loyal, hilarious, and deeply connected to her family. She gets along with all people and animals, brings comfort on hard days, and makes us laugh every single day. As a terrier–pit bull mix, she also shows the world how wonderful, gentle, and family-oriented these dogs truly are. Sugar doesn’t just live with us—she fills our home with joy, love, and laughter.
