A 3-year-old Dogue de Bordeaux built like a linebacker, loves cuddles, chaos, and pretending he’s a lap dog despite absolutely not being one

What is America's Favorite Pet?
Learn MoreHe’s a toy snuggler. Even though he can shred a stuffy in minutes, he usually chooses to cuddle them to death over time, carrying them gently, napping with them, and treating them like emotional support plushies.
Tank’s most unique quality is his gentle heart wrapped in a not-so-gentle body. Built like a linebacker, he truly believes he’s a lap dog and has never met a human who didn’t need a hug. He shows love by leaning his entire weight into you, offering serious eye contact, and insisting on being included in every moment. Despite his size, he’s incredibly soft, careful, and affectionate. He’s part teddy bear, part emotional support animal, and 100% convinced that personal space is optional.
Tank should be America’s Favorite because he represents a breed that’s often overlooked. Dogue de Bordeaux are gentle, loyal, deeply loving dogs, yet rarely in the spotlight. Tank shows what this breed is truly about. He’s a gentle giant with a huge heart, endless devotion to his people, and a calming presence that makes everyone feel safe. He reminds us that the most extraordinary dogs aren’t always the loudest. Sometimes they’re the quiet ones who love with their whole body.
