Tina’s personality is much larger than she is so her favorite toys are also much larger than her; she has two chickens that she can’t even carry but chooses to drag them around as best she can or cuddles with them in her many beds. Her favorite treat (other than rotisserie chicken like most dogs) is a sweet treat sold in our local Costco called Bocce’s Bakery Campfire S’mores for dogs!
Other than her adorable overbite and extra squishy lips (she’s a rescue/not a purebred chihuahua), she protects a wild male turkey that has taken a liking to our home and she scares off other male turkeys that bully him…typical tiny pup with a lot of extra bark for those she considers welcome on her turf.
We had lost our former senior chihuahua and knew we wanted another small dog to adopt (not purchase) and we stumbled across Tina that was available on a different island and in very poor health, only 3 lbs as an adult! We took her in and immediately spoiled her as an only child would be. She knows she ended up in a loving home and gets included on literally every outing (even family trips to the mainland). She may be a mutt but her size and Tina Turner-like sass and spunk make her very unique!
