Tonka was a rescue at 1.5 years old. Great Dane. He is goofy, loving and he loves the zoomies. We call him the "Bestest Dog Ever".

Our other Dane who is now 6 months old (Tinkerbell). He has been such a gentle giant since we got her at 6 wks. He plays with her all the time and even chews on her in his puppy love way.
We live in Alabama and it gets very hot in the summer. Tonka has his own plastic swimming pool. When he runs with the zoomies or follows his dad mowing the entire 2 acres of grass he runs and jumps in and lays down in his pool until he cools off then back to work or play. He also loves power tools (which is unusual for a Dane) he loves loud motors like the lawnmower or leaf blower. He loves to be blown with the leaf blower. Most Danes do not like loud noises.
Because he is as we tell him all the time "The Bestest Dog Ever". People do not realize when they buy a Great Dane Puppy what commitment it will be. How big they get! His original family kept him in a crate all day long to the point where he had sores from where his legs, feet anything that touched the crate all day. He has not been in a crate since we got him and he has never had an accident or did anything wrong when we are not home. He really is "The Bestest Dog Ever"
