What's your dog’s favorite toy and/or go-to treat?

Vinny is not toy obsessed, but he has a deep attachment to a blanket he has had since puppyhood. He drags it from room to room and suckles on it to help himself settle. On the occasions he does play with toys, he prefers the ones clearly designed for smaller dogs, like his mini bunny slipper. Vinny is highly food motivated and especially loves fish skins and salmon. During training, hot dogs are a favorite treat, though his greatest reward is the pets he receives from his trainer.

What is your dog's most unique quality?

The first thing people notice about Vinny is his traditional Boston Terrier look, but it is his personality that makes him unforgettable. Once you meet him, he greets you with happy barks and kisses to tell you about his day, and his nubby tail wagging in little circles. Vinny’s curiosity and joy really come alive on walks, where we encourage his sense of adventure through puppy parkour by walking ledges, hopping on rocks and pillars, and using his nose to detect the story of the neighborhood.

Why should your dog be America’s Favorite?

Vinny should be America’s Favorite because he brings smiles to everyone he meets! He has always been a lover of people, but he used to be nervous in his surroundings. In December 2024, we started training to help build confidence. Within 3 months, he passed his Canine Good Citizen test. He continues to practice agility for confidence and works in real world situations on pack walks and patio sessions. Vinny is proof that it is never too late to make progress to give your dog a better life.
