Whiskers is an extremely affectionate tuxedo cat. He ensures we understand this is his home and we exist to pay the bills.

He seems to understand us when we say really complex things. For example, when my husband says he will trade Whiskers in for a couple of kittens who will cuddle with him, Whiskers gets agitated.
Whiskers is a survivor. He was adopted by my mother in law in Mississippi. When she passed, Whiskers came back day after day wondering why he couldn’t get into his home. When the apartment door was opened by the caregiver. Whiskers ran in and wouldn’t leave. I assured her that we would take Whiskers as my husband was on his way down to finalize his mother’s affairs. Once Whiskers realized he was in a loving and forever home, he adjusted to his new surroundings. His story is inspiring.
