First off, Evie's culinary tastes are refined—she's a connoisseur of pup patties from In-N-Out. Not just any treat will do. Her giraffe plushie is her emotional support animal.
A groomer once told me, "Your dog is too much of an independent thinker. You need to work on that." Honestly, this is what I love most about her. Evie is the CEO of her own life. She’s super smart and independent, but she never skips snuggle time and she’s the best hugger I know.
Aside from her impeccable fashion sense, Evie’s always ready to share some love with a high-five and wag of her purple tail. Last year was tough on her, though. She was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder that took her sight in one eye. The steroids kept her vision partially intact, but adversely affected her body causing her to be hospitalized in critical condition. Evie’s will to live her best life won out and every day I’m grateful for more time with her. She’s taught me so much about life.
